Solvents with Safety

Solvents with Safety (SWS) was incorporated in 1983 and acquired by Tradebe in 2014. To learn more about Tradebe, please visit the UK website: www.tradebe.co.uk or global website: www.tradebe.com.

SWS has a fully compliant purpose built 1.5-acre site, just to the South of Doncaster, which has the capability to supply a comprehensive range of packed and bulk solvents. Tradebe own and operate a UK network of 23 strategically located treatment and transfer stations for the packaging, storage, segregation and processing of waste in compliance with UK legislation.

In addition to Solvent Supply to UK markets, it currently exports to a wide variety of countries and is able to offer value added services to its customers including Waste Management, Bespoke Packaging and Design, Blending and Contract Filling.

SWS is a LEADING SOLVENT SUPPLIER within its sector, being able to deliver both virgin and recycled solvents to a wide variety of industries and through its waste transfer carrier license is able to collect and dispose of waste complying in full with the Environment Agency requirements.

On site there are 7 bulk tanks ranging from 15,000-60,000 litres in size. All tanks are fitted with state of the art high accuracy level indication and alarm monitoring system through one main control panel.

As part of its delivery service SWS currently has 5 vehicles operating within its fleet, 3 fitted with tail-lifts and 2 smaller vehicles, which allow greater flexibility to meet the customer’s needs. In addition it works closely with a logistics partner, allowing it to offer a next day delivery service for urgent orders.

The site has 3 dedicated filling areas all with British manufactured stainless steel filling machines. 2 machines are permanently filling 1, 5 and 25 litre containers and the 3rd machine is fitted with a boom mast and larger filling head allowing SWS to fill 205 litre drums and 1000 litre IBC’s. Due to the hazardous nature of the solvents all machinery fully complies with the current HSE requirements and uses Pneumatic logic and actuation.

As part of its preventative measures all production operatives are required to undertake weekly testing of their safety footwear to ensure that any electrical charge is dissipated through a dissipative footwear station.
